the biltmore mansion.may.2009

our trip to the biltmore house in asheville, nc was incredible. we spent seven hours touring the farms, gardens and house. here are some of the friends we met at the farm.

there were so many incredible pictures to take throughout the grounds...

i guess i was liking the gates around the property...

the view of the house from the road leading up to the home...

...and then the view as we broke through the trees...worth the three mile drive on the property to reach it...

frank stood admiring one of the lions outside the main entrance to the house.

there was a beautiful inside atrium area where the biltmores were known to have breakfast on many occassions with guests.

here's the ceiling of the garden atrium...

this is the last picture we were able to take inside the house. it was right after this that one of the guards informed us we weren't allowed to take pictures inside. oops! at least we were able to get a shot of the pool room.

some shots of the house from the outside. check out the incredbile architecture...

the view of the fountains on the right side of the house...

the biltmore property is so large with beautiful views feeling like you're in the middle of nowhere...

not bad for a porch...

everything was just beautiful and well-kept as we walked the grounds...

heading into the gardens...

these are only a few of the dozen of close shots I got of the beautiful flowers within the gardens...
