completely surprised...the suttons soon found their places of honor at the front of the room. amy streeter and some of the current SPED students organized the party at morningside baptist church. the suttons had their own private table which of course they did not eat more than a bite since they were visiting with all those who could make it. tracy unzicker durey, her husband and three sons traveled the furthest from michigan! thank you to the many hands behind the scenes that made this special night possible!

here is mrs. sutton opening the $800 love gift that the SPED grads turned in for a cashier's check.


we would have been surprised if dr. sutton HADN'T risen to the occassion to give a speech or two! :)



mrs. sutton was speechless as she looked through the scrapbook with tears in her eyes--stating how this was a perfect gift that they could take away from their 20 years at BJU.

dr. sutton's mother gave some hilarious stories of how she met her husband while working as a telephone operator.

we closed the evening by everyone taking a balloon, sharing a memory or comment about the suttons and then releasing our balloons into the sky.

the suttons finished the event with one final thank you and speech of all God has done for them...thanking all of the grads for their love and support.
